S e pa r a t i n g P e o p l e F r o m H a z a r d s Features & Benefits K e e A n c h o r Fall Protection, Product Management Bulletin July 2017 Kee Safety Kee Anchor Features Customer Benefits The Kee Anchor range of Deadweight Fall Protection systems comprises, Weightanka, Wireanka and Accessanka When a free standing, non penetrative Fall Protection system is required there is a suitable product in the range Weightanka is a mobile, deadweight anchor device for use on roofs of up to 5 degrees pitch The system can be used on inclined roofs as well as flat roofs Weightanka can be used on flat or industrial steel cladded pitched roofs up to 15° pitch when that the unit is positioned on the opposite pitch to where the work takes place When used in this configuration it is appropriate for use on roofs with a greater pitch than 5° Kee Safety’s Weightanka has been extensively tested by NEL to BS EN 795: Protection against falls from a height - Anchor devices Third party verification has been given to the suitability of the Weightanka system Weightanka fully complies with Type E of BS EN 795: Protection against falls from height - Anchor devices - Requirements and testing The user can be assured that the Weightanka meets all of the requirements of the relevant standards and is safe to use The system also conforms to BS7883 - Code of practice for the design, selection, installation, use and maintenance of anchor devices conforming to BS EN 795 & ISO 14567 The user can be assured that the Weightanka meets all of the requirements of the relevant standards and is safe to use Weightanka is used where the absence of guardrails or permanent anchor devices would otherwise preclude safe means of access Suitable fall protection can be achieved when occasional roof top work is required and there are no other systems present Weightanka utilizes a central pedestal (attachment point) which raises the height at which the arrest force is applied, The distance the anchor device moves during a fall arrest event is minimized The unit is fully galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461: Hot Dip Galvanized Coatings Specification and test method If the user decides to store the unit on the roof of the building there is no chance of corrosion The Rubber Coated Base Weights are supplied with suction cups. Additional friction is applied to the roof membrane further reducing any movement during a fall arrest event Kee Safety recommends that whenever possible the Weightanka is used in "Fall Restraint" The user is restricted from getting close to the edge of the building and it is not possible for a fall to occur Weightanka does not penetrate the roof surface It can be safely used on all roof types with no fear of po- tential water leaks caused by penetrating the roof membrane Wireanka The Wireanka System consists of a series of Weightanka’s linked via the KeeLine horizontal lifeline system. A temporary horizontal life line system can be constructed to provide Fall Restraint or Fall Arrest Wireanka can be designed as a complete restraint or fall arrest system for up to two users and complies with EN 795 Class C & E and ISO 14567. The user can be assured that the Weightanka meets all of the requirements of the relevant standards and is safe to use A series of Weightanka’s can be linked at approximate 15m centers via the KeeLine horizontal life line The Number of Weightanka units required can be reduced to a minimum for the application - reducing the overall cost The Wireanka uses the Kee safety Kee Line components to con- struct a temporary horizontal life line The free moving Kee Line traveler allows the user to move along the full length of the life line whilst remaining attached Accessanka Accessanka is an accessory to Weightanka to provide a portable anchor device for rope access workers, allowing them to work safely The standard Weightanka can be enhanced to provide a full rope access system It does not penetrate the roof, is suitable for most flat roof surfaces and requires no attachment to structural members The system can be quickly set up to provide a temporary rope access system without connection to the building structure When correctly installed, the system is extremely stable and will not migrate across the roof surface either in normal use or when arresting the fall of both a worker and rescuer The user can be assured of the system safety and integrity Accessanka conforms to Class B EN 795, BS 7883 & ISO 14567 The user can be assured that the Weightanka meets all of the requirements of the relevant standards and is safe to use
