VARMEX® 2000

“Technical solutions for extreme environments”

VARMEX® is a fire-retardant technical textile that protects against metal drops, fire, embers, sparks and radiant heat. The ideal protection for people, machines, products and expensive equipment.

  • VARMEX® is synonymous with burnt fibers and is available in different variations, which you can find on this website

  • Designed to provide optimal protection in various work situations.

  • Meets a wide range of European standards as well as Boeing and Airbus standards.

  • The same fibers were later used to develop composite plastics used in Formula 1 race cars, space shuttles and skis.

Non-combustible substances

Products that insulate and protect against metal drops, fire, embers, sparks and radiant heat.

Is comfortable to work with as the material is soft and flexible as well as antistatic and breathable.

Made to lighten the workload by being a lightweight product. We have products that go down to 200 g / m2.

No additives or coatings. Comes from natural materials and is therefore spoiled in nature without leaving a trace.

VARMEX® textile and industry

We are committed to providing customers with the best protection for the hazards they face and testing our materials to verify that each product meets our performance standards.

Every day, employees around the world work safely in some of the world's most dangerous environments due to VARMEX® flame-resistant clothing.

Quality assurance

Our non-combustible fibers undergo systematic testing that ensures that only those that meet our compositional requirements are sorted out and used for the construction of our yarn.

The yarn is then spun in a customized and highly specialized environment, then subjected to further testing to qualify and verify its quality before conversion.

Each batch of fabric is tested against a final set of criteria onsite to check coherence in construction and performance before shipment.

VARMEX® Flame-resistant clothing and fabric provide crucial time for individuals around fire and direct flame hazard and can mean the difference between life and death.

Molten metal

With the ability to cast most molten metals and not melt, ignite or burn, the VARMEX® fabric is the safer protective solution to suit the risk of molten metal.

VARMEX® non-combustible substances are used in arc protective clothing because it gives the wearer protection against the dangers of arc - even the effects of electric arc.

Almost 90% of all work accidents are wounds, soft tissue damage and burns.

19% are injured due to missing or incorrect technical aids.

Welders have a 40% higher risk of being injured compared to other professions.

VARMEX® product family

Our VARMEX® textiles are suitable for a wide range of work tasks with their unique properties. That is why we have developed and designed several product families.
